Workshops and Performances by Sara

Sara taught dance at Amsterdam Dance Centre (ADC), Studio Seven (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), Studio Anna Mora (Amsterdam, The Netherlands), Flavia House (Sofia, Bulgaria) Claustro de Santa Clara la Real, (Tunja, Colombia
).

As an outcome of her workshops at the university Politécnico Grancolombiano she directed a performance at Teatro Camarin del Carmen with the dance group ¨Cuerpos de Agua¨. (a duo in Cali with dancers Andrés Felipe Tula and Nadya Díaz). They participated at Festival Universitario de Danza Contemporánea at the buildings of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Colombia. 

Sara Alba participated as a dancer in the piece “Vea el Reverso para el Cuidado” by Jimena Alviar. The performances took place in September at the Teatro Camarin del Carmen in Bogotá, Colombia. In 2009 Jimena Alviar received the prize of choreography Rose Vernick Choreographic Achievement Award for the creation of te piece “Vea el Reverso para el Cuidado”. JA Company is one of the companies to be selected for the Festival “Cuerpos de Ciudad 2011” organized by Idartes.

Sara gave a contemporary dance workshop in Istanbul (Turkey) at Çati Dans. Below you wil find some information about this unique place for contemporary dance + a link to the photo’s made during the workshop. Çatı Dance Studio is an important location for contemporary dance in Istanbul.
